It's a sweaty 87 degrees here in the Emerald City and it's blowing my jewelry-loving mind.

It's so funny when the sun shines and the temperature rises in this city. We Seattlelites act like it's the first sunshine we've seen in ages, well it kinda is. The pale legs of winter start creeping up and days spent in the park with pals are back.

Since I get to watch all you hot girls and boys from our large store-front windows enjoying the much needed Vitamin D today, I'm going to take this opportunity to update y'all on the recent happs here at KBJ.

We've gotten some great press as of recent. We're featured in the new issue of NYLON Magazine with the lovely ladies from Gossip Girl on the cover. The loveliest of the lovely stylist, Daniela Jung outfitted the gals with some killer pieces. Included are Serena's "signature S" ring, aka the Maude, the Dolly Necklace, and the often overlooked but equally amazing, Anais Necklace. As everyone knows, I can't get enough of that show. On the show, the evil Georgina, is sporting the HOT HOT HOT Wolfette ring, which we all know by now is a fave among the sassy starlets. I have to say I started watching that guilty pleasure just for work (or at least that's what I wanted everyone to know) but I gotta say, GG rivals my very favorite and truly the OG teen drama, 90210. You'd never see the West Beverly gang get into the conundrums and ridiculousness that Serena and her gaggle of uber rich, overly sophisticated kids get into. Okay, before I start to wax philosophical on the merits of teen dramas, let's get to the real stuff.

Here's a shot from NYLON with the girls. I'm experiencing a few technical difficulties today. Apparently, the scanner knows its too hot to work too....*hint, hint. Pictures to come this next week. If you're feeling it, run out to the newstand and check it! We're also in the new CosmoGIRL with cutie Brittany Snow on the cover. Aaaaaaand, we'll be on next month's NYLON with Scarlett Johanssen as well.

New Collection - April 2008

Kim's done it again!

A few of our new pieces have just gone live on the website. It's a pretty amazing collection of necklaces, earrings, and a new ring. This is just the beginning of some really beautiful pieces that we will be launching in 2008.

Extra! Extra! Read all about us!

It's that time again. The sun is finally starting to peek it's little head out of those nasty Seattle clouds. There's more daylight and I have some serious spring fever! And more importantly, Gossip Girl is about to start airing new episodes in a matter of weeks!

As they begin shooting the new episodes in New York, it becomes easier and easier to get shots of the cast on set. We came across this picture of Michelle Trachtenburg, who's guest starring on the show.

We're extending our hours for the impending spring/summertime season!

Now that we have many more hours of daylight left, we are going to be open a little later for your jewelry shopping needs.

The new store hours that start this week are:

Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: 12-6
Wednesday: 12-6
Thursday: 11-7
Friday: 11-7
Saturday: 11-7
Sunday: 11-5

and as always, by appointment.


Also, as some of you may have noticed, the prices on some of our pieces have gone up. Unfortunately, we have become a casualty of the ever increasing prices of silver and gold. The effects of this are as far reaching as here in Seattle. We hate to do it, but it's unfortunately, the way of the world.

Also, we're in the midst of getting our new collection ready to go live on the website. If you've been able to make it into our store, you've probably gotten to see some of the new pieces in person and already know how great they are. The other pieces that will be accompanying them are straight up AMAZING! I can't wait till we get them on here for you all to see!
